Past Projects - Bespoke Housing

Stratford Road, Cosgrove.
This development was carried out in 2008 and replaced a detached bungalow that was already on the land.

The site sits to one side of a small group of detached bungalows and has views to open countryside to the south and east and the Client wanted a property that justified such a unique location.

The design of the property is based on a traditional bungalow style on the frontage, which disguises second floor accommodation and the large glazed wall and conservatory at the rear. By careful planning, a deceptive amount of spaces were contained within quite a small frontage.

Park Lane, Moggerhanger, Beds.
This development commenced early 2004 and consisted of the conversion of existing stables to a pair of residential units and the construction of a new detached house to replace the derelict farmhouse.
The site sit at the edge of Moggerhanger and although outside the village envelope, planning permission was successfully negotiated to bring the site back into use, with a design that replicates the original farm complex.
The new house, larger than the original farmhouse was modelled on traditional rural houses in this area and sit within the original tree'd farmyard. The stables were converted to retain their timber frame construction and clad with timber to replicate the original construction of the stables.
